    Hi. I tested on our local server and on the theme demo and emails are received ok, so no there are no issues with the theme.

    I also sent a test message through the form on your website, and the message was sent successfully, the form works. Please let me know if you received it (make sure it didn’t go into the spam folder).

    If you didn’t receive my test message, it must be an issue on your server configuration. In order for the contact form to work, the server must have mail() function active. Please provide access credentials to FTP (so we can check error logs) and access to the dashboard (so we can check the contact page and any possible plugin conflict).

    Your text has to be formatted with paragraphs in order for the buttons to display independently.
    WordPress has auto-paragraph formatting, just make sure you press Enter twice after text (there should be a blank line between the text and the button shortcode).

    Just to be sure, please paste here the content of one of your widgets.

    Yes, this issue will only appear in widgets.

    To fix it, go to Appearance > Theme Options > CSS Styles and write there this:

    .textwidget a.button {
    	display: inline-block;
    	padding: 10px 30px;
    }

    Save.
    Now all should be ok.

    Hi. To update the theme, just install the new version like you installed the current one.

    Just please note that if you made any changes to the theme (styles, code, background images), those will be lost if you haven’t used a child theme. Your content is safe, no content is lost during update. I’d be happy to assist and update the theme for you, but for this I would need FTP access credentials from you (to be able to do a backup first and then upload the new version).

    Let me know what you decide. I just have to apologize in advance if you will experience some delays with support answers, we have been having internet connection problems with Kabel Deutschland, and yesterday KD internet was completely down in all Germany for 2 hours.

    I tested one of your images on our demo site, and for me it displays incorrectly rotated even in dashboard.

    I mentioned that in most of the cases it’s smartphones (iPhone especially), but that’s not exclusive (like in your case). Regardless of the device, the problem cause is the same, the images EXIF data. Neither WordPress, gallery plugin or theme rotate the images.

    There are others who experience the same problem as you, I found forum posts on the WordPress.org like this one and this one. Try to read your images EXIF data using a software or this website (like it’s mentioned in the first answer in this article), check your camera settings and if the Canon software saves the images with the proper metadata, read articles like this one and try to use a software like Photoshop or Gimp to save/export your images properly. It is not recommended to upload to the web raw images from the camera, they are too big (your images exceed 6MB, some hosting providers for example limit the upload to 2MB).

    I’m sorry, I really can’t help more than this, as it’s not a problem with our theme.

    Hmm. Judging by the chaotic behaviour (displaying correctly in dashboard but not on the website page), the problem may be caused by the EXIF data of the images. This issue appears because of the way the pictures were taken, in the vast majority of cases if they were taken with a smartphone.

    I checked your website link, but authentication credentials are needed (website is password-protected). Please send the username and password (by email or here using the “Set as private reply” option).

    Also, please provide a link to your website so I can look at the gallery. Is the picture rotated when you open it?

    Because the screenshot you have here is not of the opened pictures, but of the thumbnails. The gallery does not rotate pictures, but all thumbnails must have the same dimensions so that they are displayed properly aligned, so images get of course cropped (not rotated).

    Hi. I have tested on our local server and cannot reproduce the issue. Can you please provide the images you are having problem with, so I can test with them?

    You can send the pictures to support@craftedpixels.net if they are bigger than 512kB (maximum allowed here on the forum)

    Although it’s a customization, I was authorized to modify the countdown and gallery for you.

    However, I won’t be able to modify the contact form, as with this the best approach would be to use a translation plugin (like WPML or qTranslate) or using PoEdit. That’s because not only the fields labels have to be translated, but also the error/success messages, button etc. Vintage Wedding is translation-ready, the language files are included in the “languages” folder and you can easily use them with PoEdit.

    I’ll add this as a proposal on the dev to-do list a German translation, but I’m not able to give a deadline for this, nor specify what priority it will get.

    If you are still having trouble, I can upload the logo for you.

    However, after testing your logo on our local server, I will dare to make a recommendation that – if possible – the theme should be customized by a professional to better suit: when resized to the theme dimensions, it displays ok but it’s much too small and “BY BIANCA” is not intelligible.

    If your logo is not modified/resized before upload with a suitable software (like Photoshop), you can crop it with WordPress. When you upload the logo, you get a preview screen where you can change the way the image is cropped. See screenshots attached.

    Step 1 – After upload click the “Select and crop” button (marked with red arrow)
    Step 2 – Move the light color area to modify what part of the logo image will be visible. Click the “Crop” button.

    1. Copy-paste the widget from our demo (the text that my colleague wrote in the previous post). If you only want an image, no text, copy-paste this:

    <img src="https://craftedpixels.net/demo/widget4.png" class="aligncenter">

    2. Replace https://craftedpixels.net/demo/widget4.png with your picture URL (see the screenshot in the same post)

    If you are having trouble with this, you can send access credentials to your website so I can do this for you. When sending access credentials please use the “Set as private reply” option. Or if you prefer by email, you can send them to support@craftedpixels.net

    These are theme customizations, therefore beyond the support cover.
