    Hi,

    1. Please read the disclaimer on the from page (http://craftedpixels.net/support/). What does or does not qualify for support is written there.

    2. You have to modify the contact page, to allow content to be inputted from WordPress Dashboard, or input the content manually directly in the page.

    3. The logo area cannot be made larger without customization:

    – the .psd source files should be modified (both retina and non-retina) & the new background images saved

    – logo dimensions should be modified in functions.php and header.php

    – css should be modified accordingly (bearing in mind that Kindergarten is a responsive theme, and css should be modified for all resolutions).

Skip the first step if it is not necessary to enlarge the cloud background.

Please note that support does not cover customizations (2 and 3 are customizations), again, please read the disclaimer text in the yellow box on front page.

    Hi,

Thank you for your purchase and kind words.

The 2 illustrations automatically display in the slider when you install the theme and plugins.

You may use them however you like in the theme, but please bear in mind that they are cloud-shaped as for using in the slider. The images are located in the plugins folder in cp-wowslider/design/images.

    Hi,

As it is always best to have the latest browser version, for security and performance, we fully support the latest version of every browser. You should have no problems with 2-3 versions older (Chrome, Firefox), but for older than that I cannot 100% guarantee. That’s mainly because both Chrome and Firefox automatically update.

As for IE8, please send screenshots and tell me what version of Windows you have (7 or XP) and what page the issue is on. The demo is tested on IE8 (Windows 7) and it works fine, and now I tested your website and is also ok. I cannot find the problem you are mentioning. Also please note that IE8 support was dropped (on ThemeForest from November 20th 2013), because is a very old browser, and even Microsoft is dropping support for XP, because it’s a 12 year old operating system.

As for the hyphenated text: Please test the theme demo (http://ithemewordpress.com/kindergarten-theme/) in the same browsers and tell me if the problem exists. I previously told you that I tested on Firefox on both Mac and Windows, and in the demo there is no hyphenation on body text, only on your website appears.

    Hi,

Times New Roman font is not used in the theme. If you see TNR that means that the fonts are not loading for some reason. If you are running the theme on a local server, please make sure that there is nothing preventing the fonts to load. The fonts used are BD Cartoon Shout for titles and Solomon Normal for body text. Please see the theme demo.

    Hi,

Yes, source code modifications are necessary to achieve that. I’m sorry, but we do not currently offer customization services. Please read the text in the yellow box on front page for more details (http://craftedpixels.net/support/).

What I can say is that you can find both the slider and the featured area in home.php.

Forcing proportions is not necessary if the logo is at least 180×100, as crop option will appear, and some white space can be cropped out if the aspect ratio is different. The problem appeared because the logo was too small, smaller than the minimum required.

Hi. The logo must have the same aspect ratio as 180×100. Your logo gets cropped because 140×100 does not have the same aspect ratio. Also, it is not recommended to use a smaller logo than minimum required, because the image will be stretched and will look blurry/pixelated.

I have modified your logo image to be 180×100. Please find it attached to this post. You may use it in your website, to fix the issue.

    Hi,

Customization or font searching doesn’t qualify for support.

I can recommend four free fonts that have Swedish diacritics, and are similar to BD Cartoon Shout (currently used), but I highly recommend that you do a font search, as there are so many options available.

    Alegreya Sans SC – Ultra-Bold 900

    Exo2 – Ultra-Bold 900

    VTC Garage Sale

    Janda Manatee

The problem is not browser compatibility. The issue appears because the images you add are too small. The images should be minimum 800px wide by 533px high.

Please check the theme’s demo in the same browsers for comparison.

    Hi,

Yes, the title font does not support Swedish diacritics. Only the body font does.

    Hi,

The demo .xml file is included with the theme. Just import it and you will have all the pages and posts just like the demo.

If you do not want that, here are the details of the About Us page:

The columns are done with shortcodes (please read the theme Documentation for additional information about the theme’s shortcodes).

The page content is this (just copy-paste it):

    [col 2]
    <h3>Gabriel</h3>
    [caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="140"]<img alt="groom" src="http://ithemewordpress.com/vintage-wedding-theme/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/bride_groom/groom.png" /> The Happy Groom[/caption]

    Hi,

    1. The favicon can be found in the theme folder, it’s a file named favicon.ico. Just replace it with your own. Please remember to clear browser cache to make sure the new favicon is displayed.

    2. The menu uses WordPress’ native wp_nav_menu() function, so you can create your own custom menu in dashboard. This gives you total control of which and how many links are displayed. Go to Appearance > Menus and create a custom menu.

    Hi,

You can adjust the logo image with white space/transparency for height, to fit the default logo aspect ratio. There is no need for the logo to be exactly 180×100 when you upload it, it is automatically resized. But aspect ratio needs to be the same so that the logo doesn’t get distorted.

If you want functions.php modifications, just copy functions.php file in the child theme and modify it to suit your needs. The same goes for header.php or any other file you want to modify.

    Hi,

Sorry, I do not know exactly what you mean by horizontal logo, as the default logo dimensions are 180px wide by 100px high, which is a horizontal format (width larger than height).

But if increasing the size is necessary, there are several modifications:
The logo default size should be modified in functions.php and header.php. But that will make it not display properly because it wouldn’t fit on the cloud background. So several other modifications would be necessary: the .psd source files should be modified (both retina and non-retina) to enlarge the cloud area, the new background images saved and after that the css should be modified to accommodate new dimensions.
